Why do I need a shared ownership valuation?
Whether you are selling your shared ownership property or buying further shares in it (known as staircasing), it’s important to know the true value of the 100% market value of your property so you can make informed decisions and to ensure the housing provider is demonstrating best practice.
To do this you will require a RICS Market Valuation.
When selling a shared ownership property you have to offer your share of the property back to the housing association to sell on to their list of current affordable housing buyers at the property valuation price.
Our surveyors can provide your valuation quickly so you can make an informed confident decision armed with all of the facts.
Please note, often your shared ownership documentation will insist on a valuation being within 3 months of the date you go on the market or exchange contracts.
Remember: A valuation is not a survey make sure you know as much as you can about the true condition of your building, property or future home before you commit to buy.
