John Grindley

John brings a unique professional background to Arnold & Baldwin’s Surveying Team, having obtained his AssocRICS status through the Sava route after a significant career change. Originally trained as a Legal Executive with a 2:1 Law Degree from Nottingham Trent University, he worked as a Conveyancer for 10 years while completing his CILEx course to become a Graduate Chartered Legal Executive. This extensive legal background in property conveyancing provides John with exceptional insight into the legal aspects of property transactions, enabling him to identify issues that matter to solicitors and protect clients’ interests with particular authority.

Based in South East London, John’s commitment to personal growth extends beyond his professional reinvention. Outside work, he dedicates his free time to refurbishing a house with his Dad, plays guitar, and has recently taken up squash and padel tennis—demonstrating the same determination and willingness to tackle new challenges that led him to retrain as a surveyor. With two years of qualified experience now complementing his decade of conveyancing knowledge, John offers clients a distinctive perspective that bridges the technical assessment of property condition with deep understanding of the legal implications that follow.
